Every year, the Moon circles the Earth thirteen times, thus completing 13 lunations.
XIII Lunas 2013 is a modern wine of Garnachaand Tempranillo, made in Rioja Alta and aged for thirteen lunar cycles.
Tasting note: Bright ruby red with vermilion reflections. Enveloping and deep aromas of barrel ageing perfectly blend with the fresh aromas of red fruits typical of Garnachaand Tempranillograpes. In the mouth it is fresh, harmonious, silky, with delicate and elegant tannins. Aromas in the mouth are marked, reflecting those felt in the nose. A pleasant and nice wine, with a modern style.
Varietals: Garnacha (55%), Tempranillo (45%).
Ageing: 12 months in 225 l. barrels of American and French wood.
Graduation: 13.73% by Vol.
Total acidity: 5.4 g/l (t.a.).
Volatile acidity: 0.59 g/l (a.a.).
Free SO2: 23 mg/l.
Total SO2: 90 mg/l.
Spellbound Chardonnay features bright and lush tropical fruit flavors with notes of vanilla and classic crème brûlée. Its medium body and bright acidity make for a pleasant and lasting finish on the palate.
PAIRS WITH: Enjoy this wine on its own or with a variety of cuisine from the Pacific Rim to the fiery Southwest. Blackened fish, Caesar salad, cream chowders and soft cheeses all make for delicious pairings.
