Deconstructing Wine, and is the first in a series of three classes

Our first class this summer is entitled Deconstructing Wine, and is the first in a series of three classes.

We love the end product, but how did we get there?

Robert Braswell, representing Tryon Distributing, will conduct all three classes.  In the first class we will explore Old World vs. New World wines and varietal characteristics, including body and flavor profile.

In the second class, we will learn how age affects the color and appearance of wines and their nuances.  Robert will share terminology used to describe the wines, and will discuss what to look for when tasting wines so that you may be able to recognize the wines without seeing the labels.

In our third class of the series, we will do a blind tasting of wine varietals that we have talked about in the 2 previous classes. Some of what we learn will be a review of information from previous classes.

The classes are intended to be EDUCATIONAL & FUN!  According to Robert, we will not only Deconstruct wine, we will De-snob wine!  So don’t feel intimidated!  Join the fun!

The dates for these classes are June 6th, July 11th and August 8th.

The classes will start at 6 PM. Bread and cheese will be provided, and the cost is $5.00 . Please call 883-2101 to register.
